A facelift technically known as a rhytidectomy is a type of cosmetic surgery procedure used to give a more youthful facial appearance. There are multiple surgical techniques. It usually involves the removal of excess facial skin, with or without the tightening of underlying tissues, and the redraping of the skin on the patient's face and neck. Facelifts are effectively combined with eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and other facial procedures and are typically performed under general anesthesia or deep twilight sleep. Facelift surgery is also combined with Neck Lift where the excess fat on the neck is also removed. In facelift surgery one technique called Threadlift is quite popular in which very fine threads are used to pull up the sagging skin of the face. The threads originate from behind your ear and there is no incision mark on the face. The facelift surgery benefits last for 8-10 years and is a good solution for those people who are quite fit for their age but have sagging skin on the face or neck. The reversal of age is not an undesirable goal for anybody.
A Facelift involves tightening of the face skin which is done through the tightening of the underlying tissues and the facial muscles. Excess fat from the face and Neck is either removed or redistributed. Excess skin is removed and the remaining skin is then stitched.
The incisions for the facelift procedure are given in such a manner that they are not visible to anybody seeing you from the front.
Our surgeons prefer to give the incision behind your ear so that it is hidden under the earlobe. In thread lift surgery the threads are inserted from behind your ear and all the thread ends culminate there. Most of the other incisions are given in such a manner that your hairline covers the incisions and do not make them visible. For necklift the incision is given just below the chin which also hides the scar of the incision after the surgery. Sometimes a combination of Liposuction with Facelift or Necklift surgery is done. The procedure takes 2-4 hours.
Healthcare Costs in India are already lower as compared to other western countries. The skin is a fourth component in the aging of the face. The ideal age for face-lifting is at age 50 or younger as measured by patient satisfaction. Some areas such as the nasolabial folds or marionette lines in some cases can be treated more suitably with Botox or liposculpture. The cost for facelift surgery in India is Rs. 90,000 - 1,10,000. However the cost can be higher if more procedures like Blepheroplasty and Neck Lift are combined with the facelift surgery. The hospital stay for such surgeries is just 1-2 days. However the patient must plan a trip of atleast a week so that pre surgery consultation can take place properly where the surgeon understands your expectations and also explain to you what results can be achieved. In plastic surgery sometimes the gap between the expectations and the reality can be a matter of dissatisfaction. For query please contact or whatsapp at +91-8800188335
